Eagle Investment Systems is a global provider of financial services technology and a subsidiary of BNY Mellon (The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation). I worked as a Research And Development Engineer for a Russian company FinSTC which eventually became a part of Eagle Investment Systems. In our work, we used the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and the proprietary domain specific language (DSL) for business processes automation in a huge FinTech project. Initially, I supported this DSL in C++, but later the decision was made to rewrite the core system in Java, and replace the DSL with a subset of the Python language. My main results are: - Participation in implementation of kernel functionality in JavaEE (using Apache Camel, Spring Framework and Hazelcast); - Created a fault-tolerant file storage engine based on MongoDB (GridFS) for migration from an old version of the product to a new one; - Created a translator for a subset of the Python language (originally it was a stripped-down CPython, later a PyPy-based version and query router came before them) and interconnection with Java via CFFI/JNA && WebSockets; - Migration of a proprietary document processor framework from Python 2.7 to Python 3.5; - A series of system performance studies using a proprietary testing framework; - Creation continuous integration (CI) pipelines for Jenkins and support for Gradle (Groovy) build scripts; - Integration for two importan
