Accessibility statement

We want Deciml to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. We are working towards conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

Conformance status

Deciml is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA. Partially conformant means some parts of the content may not fully meet the standard. The issues we listed in August 2026 were fixed in October 2026. We still say partially, not fully, because automated checks cannot find everything and we have not yet had an independent audit (see Limitations below).

What works well

• Keyboard navigation with a visible focus ring, and a skip-to-content link.
• Controls that appear on hover also appear on keyboard focus, and the pipeline board and the candidate card can be used without a mouse.
• Dialogs announce themselves to screen readers, keep keyboard focus inside while open, close with Escape, and return focus to where you were.
• Form fields are associated with their labels, and buttons shown as an icon have a text name.
• Reduced-motion preferences are respected for animation.
• Page titles and a document language are set.
• Light and dark themes both meet text-contrast targets. In the light theme, gold text, including on hover, uses a darker gold that meets the 4.5:1 target.
• Pages reflow on a screen 320 pixels wide without sideways scrolling.

How we test

Every night we run automated checks (axe) for WCAG 2.2 A and AA on every main page, in both themes and for every type of account, including the main dialogs and menus. The same run checks narrow-screen reflow, keyboard alternatives, reduced motion and forced colours. Checks in our build stop new icon-only buttons without a name, dialogs without dialog semantics, and gold text that falls below the contrast target.

Limitations

• We have not yet had an independent accessibility audit or a full manual review with screen readers. Automated checks catch many issues but not all of them.
• Documents uploaded by candidates and companies, such as CVs and job descriptions, are shown as they were provided and may not be accessible.
