We want Deciml to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. We are working towards conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
Conformance status
Deciml is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA. Partially conformant means some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard. We are actively closing the gaps.
What works well
- Keyboard navigation with a visible focus ring, and a skip-to-content link.
- Form fields are associated with their labels.
- Reduced-motion preferences are respected for animation.
- Page titles and a document language are set.
- Light and dark themes, with the dark theme meeting text-contrast targets.
Known issues
We are aware of, and working on, the following:
- A few interactive (hover) states in the light theme use a lighter gold that may not meet the 4.5:1 contrast target; static gold text and links now do.
- A few dialogs do not yet trap keyboard focus or announce as dialogs to screen readers.
- Some icon-only controls are still being given text labels.
Feedback
If you hit an accessibility barrier on Deciml, please tell us at hello@deciml.io and we will prioritise a fix. Please include the page and what you were trying to do.
